Baltic PE/VC Ecosystem Unveils 2025 Market Overview and Welcomes 150+ New Finance Graduates

It has been a landmark week for the Baltic private equity and venture capital ecosystem. This past Tuesday, the community gathered to celebrate two major milestones that perfectly bridge the current state of the market with its future potential: the official launch of the Baltic PE & VC Market Overview 2025 and the graduation of more than 150 ambitious minds from the "Break into the Finance World" course.

The evening kicked off with a deep dive into the numbers. Dmitry Sevoldajev and Matīss Jānis Rekerts of KPMG Baltics took the stage to present the comprehensive findings of the 2025 Market Overview. Their presentation offered a clear, data-driven look at the fundraising surges, investment dynamics, and macroeconomic trends that shaped the industry over the past year.

Following the data presentation, the discussion moved from hard statistics to forward-looking strategy. An expert panel consisting of Audrius Matikiūnas (INVL Asset Management), Viktorija Trimbel (Coinvest Capital), Gintas Daniusevičius (Practica Capital), and Julius Duksta (LitCapital) took the stage. Moderated by Mindaugas Aleska of KPMG Lithuania, the panelists dove deep into the report's findings, sharing sharp forecasts and strategic outlooks for what lies ahead for the Baltic region.

Honoring the Next Generation of Finance Talent

While the market data provided plenty of reasons for economic optimism, the absolute highlight of the night was celebrating human capital. The event honored over 150 bright, curious graduates who officially completed the "Break into the Finance World" programme. Run in close partnership with Vilnius University, the intensive course spent the past few months preparing a stellar new cohort of talent ready to make their mark on the local ecosystem.

Special recognition was given to the course’s top-performing students who went above and beyond. Karina Kandrotaitė emerged as the highest-performing student, earning a well-deserved scholarship presented by Practica Capital along with an exclusive invitation to the prestigious Level 20 CEE – Romania dinner. Danas Šidlauskas secured the spot as the second best-performing student, receiving a scholarship awarded by Alter Domus.

This impactful educational initiative was made possible through the dedication of Vilnius University, alongside the generous support of course sponsors Go Vilnius and Motieka & Audzevičius, who stepped up to help organize and fund such a valuable programme for the community.

The future of the Baltic PE/VC market looks exceptionally bright, powered by robust market data and a brand-new wave of highly motivated talent.
