Investor Camp 2025 in Vilnius: 250 Investors from 15 Countries Set the Tone for the Region’s Future Capital Flows

For the fourth year in a row, Vilnius hosted Investor Camp, an exclusive gathering dedicated entirely to investors. This year’s event reached a new milestone, attracting 250 venture capital partners, business angels, and ecosystem leaders from 15 countries – from the Baltics and Nordics to South Korea and the US – who came together for a high-level exchange of insights, trends, and partnerships.

Organized by Startup Lithuania (Innovation Agency), the Lithuanian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LT VCA), and the Lithuanian Business Angel Network (LitBAN), Investor Camp has grown into a trusted annual tradition shaping the region’s investor community.

Agenda highlights: data, defence, global perspectives, and founders’ insights

The day opened with the much-anticipated annual keynote “What’s Up Baltics: Startup Funding Overview”, delivered by Jonė Vaitulevičiūtė (Managing Partner at FIRSTPICK), presenting sharp data, sector trends, and insights shaping investment strategies for the year ahead.

One of the key moments was the Baltic Deep Tech 2025 Report: Defence & Resilience Edition, presented by Kasparas Jurgelionis (Managing Partner at Iron Wolf Capital, Chairman of the Board at LT VCA). It led into a high-level panel on Europe’s security and DefenceTech, moderated by Jurgelionis, with Dainius Vilčinskas (CEO at Lithuanian Development Bank ILTE), Mikolaj Firlej (Founder at Expeditions Fund), and Mantas Katinas (Chairman of the Board of Unicorns Lithuania and General Manager of Wargaming Vilnius).

A dedicated business angel panel was moderated by Roberta Rudokienė (Managing Director at LitBAN) and featured Viktorija Trimbel (Managing Director at Coinvest Capital), Rita Sakus (Business angel, LitBAN member, Board member at EBAN), and David Brown (Founding Managing Partner at Impellent Ventures), focusing on co-investment practices and how angels and VCs can collaborate more effectively.

Global perspectives came from the VC Panel, moderated by Marius Ribokas (Innovation Lead at SEB bank), with Guy Ward Thomas (Partner at DN Capital), Julian von Eckartsberg (Managing Director Europe at Burda Principal Investments), and Mehmet Atici (Managing Partner at Bek Ventures).

The Lithuanian founders’ panel, moderated by Lina Žemaitytė-Kirkman (Head at Rockit), featured Liudas Kanapienis (Co-founder and CEO at Ondato), Marius Bausys (Country Manager at Ebury Partners Lithuania), and Audrius Griškevičius (Co-founder and CEO at Softloans), who shared their first-hand perspectives on scaling globally while rooted in Lithuania.

The agenda also included a keynote “Going Global” by Steven D. Strauss (American author, columnist, and lawyer, known as “America’s leading small business expert”), a behind-the-scenes look at Lithuanian AI success story sintra.ai with Kristijonas “Chris” Šidlauskas (Co-founder and CEO at sintra.ai) and Arvydas Bložė (Partner at Practica Capital), and a fireside chat “Entrepreneurship: Value, Risk, and Illusions” with Dovilė Burgienė (Managing Partner at WALLESS, Co-founder at Lyderė) and Tadas Burgaila (Co-founder and CEO at Kilo Health).

A platform for the investor community

According to Rūta Mačiulytė-Valickienė, Director of LT VCA, Investor Camp has already become a strategic meeting point for the investor community:

“Investor Camp is the one day each year when investors from more than 15 countries come together in Vilnius in an exclusive, closed-door setting. Here, they don’t just build relationships and partnerships, but also gain access to insights not available anywhere else: from Baltic funding trends and a Deep Tech & Defence outlook to global fund perspectives, co-investment practices, and first-hand stories from the region’s most prominent founders. Over four years, this has grown into a consciously built tradition – a platform where the investor community takes shape and where the future flow of capital in the Baltics is being defined.”

The day before Startup Fair

Investor Camp traditionally takes place on the eve of Startup Fair, Lithuania’s largest startup ecosystem event. This year marks its 13th edition, expecting over 2,000 participants from around the world. The Startup Fair stage will host names such as Uri Levine (Founder of Waze), Kateryna Kruk (Meta), and Jeff Cabili (non-verbal communication expert), while 50 startups will compete in the Pitch Battle for €3 million in investments and prizes.
